Atmosphere
The Gulf of Finland and the coniferous forest define the calm northern character of the place. The architecture sustains this rhythm and maintains a direct connection with nature.
IDEA
The architecture is built on lightweight volumes, natural materials and a calm palette; an open composition and a form connected to the coast create a cohesive character of the space.
The architecture is embedded within the natural context and sustains the character of the northern coast.
The site lies between the Gulf of Finland and the coniferous forest. Nature sets the mood of the project.
A house for a family of three, with provision for guests. Fireplace, swimming pool, study, mezzanine. Spacious yet compact in floor area.

The site is located on the northern coast of St Petersburg, close to the Gulf of Finland and a coniferous forest. The topography is level and open, transitioning into the shoreline. The climate of the northern coast shapes a calm atmosphere — cool wind, soft light and a natural context that defines the character of the project.

Concept
The architectural image emerges between water and forest, reflecting their natural context.
Between water and forest, a territory appears where the future architectural image begins to form.
The territory divides into the house and the terrace, creating a soft transition from water to forest.
The formed volume separates water and forest, raising the question of future zoning.
The emergence of two key zones shapes a central core that connects the house’s functions with water and forest.
The central core works through transparency, linking all zones and forming an open shared space
The ground floor establishes an internal openness, where functions gather around the central core.
Above the social ground floor, a second‑level volume appears, forming a fully private space.
The second level divides into bedrooms and a home office.
The image is completed by a curvilinear form that reflects the movement of waves and the silhouette of sails, creating a distinctive architectural identity.
FLOOR PLANS
The ground floor works as an open communal space, where life unfolds between the living room, kitchen and courtyard. The first floor is a quiet private zone for work and rest. The layout creates a sense of openness and immersion in the context — when in the kitchen-living room, we find ourselves at its centre.
